Process

At NEB&M we try to explain to a prospective customer that our goal is to create a treasure for the customer. That can be a National Treasure, a Regional Treasure or a Family Treasure. If the owner doesn’t consider the boat a treasure then the project should not begin. It often costs more to restore than it will be worth when it’s done. The value won’t be realized in immediately selling the boat, but is best achieved by the years of enjoyment.

It’s very common for a first time buyer to jump into a lengthy restoration project and at the completion and their first ride they suddenly realize that they need a totally different boat. So Mason’s advice is to ride in as many boats as possible and spend the time doing research so the boat which you buy or restore or have built, is truly the boat of your dreams.
